Jim Seda as "The Demon" Jim has been stalking audiences for over two decades as the ultimate re-creation of classic era Gene Simmons. Jim, who is widely hailed as a pioneer for spawning the idea of starting the first nationally recognized KISS tribute act, decided to form a band after he dressed up as Gene for a Halloween party in the mid 1980's. From the beginning, Jim has always demanded the highest level of authenticity from himself. "To pull off being the true Demon - the real vintage Gene - it takes more than just makeup," he says. "You have to take on the full personality of the character. I try to scare the audience a little bit while entertaining them." Seda, a native New Yorker like Gene himself, has played all over the United States, as well as Korea and Japan. He previously played with Hotter than Hell and West Coast tribute Larger than Life. His weapons of choice include a Ripper Bass and the Gene Simmons Punisher. He has long been hailed as the father of the tribute band movement. "From the beginning, audience reactions have been great," he says "It’s all about being as realistic as possible, trying to recapture the greatest years of KISS." |
